Our Staff

Pastor

Pastor Timothy began as our pastor in July 2019. He is originally from Galax, Virginia, where he discerned his call to pastoral ministry at age 15. He is a graduate of Emory & Henry College, where he studied Religion and Psychology. He also attended The Divinity School at Duke University, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity with a concentration in preaching. Currently, Pastor Timothy is pursuing his doctorate at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. When he’s not working at the church, he enjoys playing old time fiddle and watching Duke basketball.

Director of Music Ministries

Misty is a native of Floyd. She and her husband moved to Charlotte and lived there for 14 years. They returned to the area and have been at Floyd United Methodist Church since 2004. After playing for the choir for eight years, she is now our music director. Misty is married to Will Griffin and together they two adult children (twins): Reed and Addie.

Organist

Karla has been a member of Floyd UMC since 1975, and she has played the organ for our church over 35 years.
