Rev. Dalton Richardson

Pastor Dalton began as our pastor in in July 2026. Previously he has served as pastor of Meadowview UMC in Meadowview, VA; Shady Grove UMC in Abingdon, VA; and Tate’s Chapel UMC in Chilhowie, VA. A native of Damascus, VA, Dalton graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2019, where he studied Religion and Philosophy, and in 2022 he received his Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Dalton is married to his best friend, Jasmine, and together they enjoy life with each other and their two cats, Norman and Moses. When he is not working, Dalton enjoys listening to and discovering new music, fellowshipping with friends, and keeping up with readings for his book club. 

Dalton arrives with a deep love for the local church and a passion for Scripture, both in preaching and teaching, and for walking alongside others wherever they may be in life and faith. Shaped by the Wesleyan tradition, his ministry is rooted in the conviction that God’s grace is always at work in us–drawing us in, nurturing us into who we are becoming, and sending us out in love for the sake of the world.
